GLENN Davey dominated round 5 of the ClassicMXRider.com Pre-68 Championship at Marks Tey. Having been on British and European scrambles championship duties, the Suffolk-based rider had missed 3 rounds of the series, but he certainly hadn’t forgot how to best ride the Pre-65 Motocross Club’s track at Marks Tey.
After a hands-on-helmet start, race 1 saw Davey (360 CZ) take the holshot ahead of series newcomer and established scrambler, James Newstead, who fell from his Jim Aim-built 750 Triumph Metisse.
As Davey pulled a lead, John Bateup (500 Triumph) and Gene Womack (540 Jawa Metisse) were both challenging for second place, followed by Sam Heitman (500 Boretech Metisse) and Aaron Graves (500 BSA) who were scraping for fourth.
