2016 AMCA classic scrambles season starts Easter Sunday
The Pre-65 Motocross Club and Devon Classic Scramble Club kick-start the 2016 season on Easter Sunday with their respective events at Marks Tey and Widworthy.
The Pre-65 Motocross Club’s scramble will incorporate classes for the 114 solo riders consisting of pre-60, pre-65 upto 250, pre-68 over 350 and pre-74, along with pre-85 sidecars, of which a bumper entry of 13 outfits compete for victory.
In addition, the event will host round 1 of the 2016 ClassicMXRider.com Pre-68 Championship and Greeves Championship.
The Devon Classic Scrambles Club’s event will incorporate classes for both classic machines, as well as twinshock and evos. As a result, over 160 competitors have entered the event, which is dubbed the Badger Goss Classic Scramble.
The circuit is located near Honiton, but at the club’s new track, also near Widworthy. The club have called this new track “Widworthy 2″, so as not to cause confusion with the previous circuit’s name. The location of the new track can be seen here.
Here’s some onboard video of the previous Widworthy track to wet your appetite.
We expect to have post-race reports for both events, so check back soon after they have taken place for all the results.
